Philtranco Transport Heritage Museum
This museum is the first and only of its kind in the Philippines. It is located at the Philtranco terminal, the old ALATCO (Albert Louis Ammen Transportation Company) compound in the city. Frequented by students, researchers and tourists from all over the country and some parts of the world, the museum offers a historical review of the first and oldest bus company in the Philippines - in pictures and memorabilia. ALATCO was formally organized as a company on July 6, 1914, some months ahead of America's pioneering bus company and started with a reconstructed Grawbosky truck which initially plied the Iriga-Nabua route. Because ALATCO provided for the birth of land transport business in the Philippines, the National Historical Commission declared the terminal compound as a national historical site.
